First time buyer variable rate mortgage comparison chart

Well, just had a look at the rate data and the remortgage comparison rate charts haven’t changed since our last post, so i thought i would be nice to put some first time buyer charts up instead.

One thing to note is that these are based on 75% ltv rather than the 60% ltv of the remortgage charts , i think this loan to value is a bit more realistic for first timers, they generally aren’t going to have a 40% deposit.

One other thing that i am quite surprised about is that there are no capped rate mortgages available for first time buyer mortgages at this smaller deposit %, unbelievable really – so first timers can not get a capped rate mortgage in the uk at the moment unless they have a big fat deposit
